WASHBURN PAVILION

Existing before the Museum itself, this open-air pavilion is the only function facility located directly on the Charles River. Just steps from the water, it offers refreshing breezes, cooling shade trees, and wonderful views toward the Longfellow Bridge. Guests can sip cocktails alfresco, dine under a protective tent, or stand at the water’s edge and wave to a passing Duck Tour boat. For a perfect outdoor touch, menu options include lobster dinners, clambakes, barbecues, and other summertime selections.

Just steps from the water, the Washburn Pavilion offers refreshing breezes, cooling shade trees, and wonderful views toward the Longfellow Bridge. Step into the space age glow of the Riverview Café, which, in the evening, transforms into an elegant event venue with panoramic views of the Charles River. The space accommodates larger groups for more formal sit-down dinners.

THE SKYLINE ROOM

Perched on the Museum’s topmost floor just beneath the 230-foot spire, the Skyline Room offers panoramic views of the Charles River, Back Bay, Boston, and Cambridge through two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. By day, natural light floods the space while birds wing by at eye level. By night, the sparkling mosaic of city lights provides a dramatic backdrop for any evening event. Sunsets are spectacular!

“The catering staff was on top of EVERYTHING. We had a number of food allergies and they were all over it. I was struck by the presentation, the linens, the glassware, and of course the food.
