OVERVIEW
Amidst the steel and glass towers of downtown Dallas, the massive white pillars of Union Station speak of a modern city’s grand history. Not so many years ago, this depot was the commercial and transportation center of the Southwest. Today, Union Station is a unique venue offering a variety of spaces ideal for every occasion including distinguished dinners, stylish weddings, sophisticated receptions and upscale meetings and events. This one-of-a-kind setting, completed in 1916, features tall arched windows, original chandeliers and 48-foot ceilings in the “Grand Hall.” Many of the meeting rooms still have the original brickwork and tile flooring, creating a unique site for functions. Completing a $23-million renovation, Union Station is restored back to its former glory, making it a memorable space for special events. Internationally renowned Wolfgang Puck Catering is the exclusive caterer for Reunion Tower, with a team of experts who will attentively plan and execute your event to perfection. AWARDS

Both Wendy Timson and Kevin Brant have achieved their CPCE (Certified Professional Catering Executive) designation through the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). Less than 400 people have earned this designation. Wendy has also achieved her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation. Kevin has been honored with the National Association of Food Equipment Manufacturer’s Doctorate of Food Service Award for his contributions to the industry. Kevin currently serves as the Immediate Past National President of NACE. Most recently Wendy has been honored as the Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of NACE as the Caterer of the Year for 2008.

Behind the Stationmaster’s clock sits the Cotton Belt. Cotton Belt was at one time the Stationmaster’s office and now can serve as your company’s office during day meetings. It is also a great place for the bride or the groomsmen to await their entrance prior to a wedding ceremony.

Frisco can be used as one large room or split into three smaller rooms. A charming characteristic of this room is the south end wall open to the Stationmaster’s Lounge which can allow for guest to travel between rooms during your event. The heavy curtains provide the ability to blackout the natural light for AV presentations. All rooms have separate light control and privacy screens if they are needed during your event.

With soaring 48 foot ceilings, arched windows and the original chandeliers, the Grand Hall at Union Station is the ideal backdrop for your next event.

Located on the third floor of Union Station, the Hickory Room serves as a superb boardroom or show office. A boardroom table sits in the middle of the room giving your team members the ability to look out onto your events at Union Station.

KATY ROOM

KATY ROOM

Off in the north corner of the Grand Hall you will find the Katy Room. The Katy Room is terrific for an event’s overflow buffets or for a presentation during your meetings. The Katy Room offers a heavy curtain to block out any outside light that might interfere with presentations.

A former Union Station shop, the Rock Island Room is placed conveniently in between the Grand Hall and the Frisco Room. Sheer curtains create a softer tone, for a small meeting, a great place to exhibit your company’s product or to display pictures of the Bride and Groom during their reception.

A cozy room with the entrance into the Grand Hall, great for a Green room, show office, storage during your event, a high steaks poker tournament or even an intimate 10 person VIP Dinner and Wine tasting room. Santa Fe can be set up in various ways to accommodate your event needs.

TEXAS AND PACIFIC ROOM

Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a small meeting break out room set in a theater style, the Texas and Pacific room is perfect for your event. Texas and Pacific holds its unique style with original wall brickwork. Named after one of the rail lines traveling through Dallas, this room is separated from the Grand Hall to provide added privacy to your event.

PRESTONWOOD HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL AWARDS DINNER

I really wanted to let you know how wonderful everything was at our Prestonwood football event on Sunday, November 30 at Union Station. We knew it was the first big event being held since the remodel, and you have to know that everything went perfectly from our perspective. I promise I'd tell you if that hadn't been the case, because I know you'd want to know anything constructive that could be done to improve the experience for others. However, I couldn't even begin tell you anything but positives. My committee and I arrived at 3pm to set up the centerpieces for our 6pm event. Kevin Brant was there to meet us - the tables were already placed, the staff was setting the silverware with fine precision, audio-visual was hard at work setting up our screen and sound system (which worked perfectly!), we were offered refreshments while we were working, and anyone to whom we asked a question was able to help us. We were so impressed, you would never have known we were the first event to be held there since the remodel and Puck in charge. John, I'd also be remiss if I didn't tell you specifically what a great time it was to work with Kevin Brant! He is not only extremely professional, but is a lot of fun and very encouraging. We were on a tight budget and had some unusual requests...Kevin handled everything with us perfectly. He was always available, extremely patient, very timely and prompt, and made me feel like my event was in the hands of a great professional and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. He was my advocate. I can't say enough great things about Kevin. Is it possible for you to please pass this along to whomever he ultimately reports at Puck? I'd love to have another event there just to work with him again - no kidding! Thank you for your call last week to check on things with me. Congratulations on this FABULOUS new Union Station venture. It's certain to be huge success! Heather and I are in the midst of opening a special events planning business, and we'll recommend Union Station highly to all we know too.

ISES (International Special Event Society)

I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for an amazing meeting yesterday at Union Station. Your team was excellent, and really took great care of us. The Station is breathtaking, and has such a great ambiance. I had forgotten how charming that building is, and how many possibilities it holds. The cuisine was to die for, and I am now addicted to the sliders and chocolate cakes with the "coco pebbles" underneath. They were out of this world! And the tomato soup with the mini grilled cheeses are the best I’ve ever had. I will be dreaming about them! Thank you again my friend, and please know I can’t wait to come back over and see you soon. I am looking for an event we can do together and have some fun! – Wendy
