SKY CHURCH

At 5,384 square-feet, Sky Church is a grand center for activity at EMP|SFM. It is a perfect venue for sit-down dinners, receptions, presentations, live music and dancing the night away. Want to move an audience with the firepower of the big screen? Sky Church offers an awe-inspiring 42-foot by 70-foot LED video wall, accompanied by state-of-the art acoustics, which spans an enormous wall. Bring your own program to the party, or let EMP|SFM fill the screen with unique entertainment. Sky Church is also equipped to provide a wide variety of lighting effects. The soaring 65-foot ceiling is illuminated with parasols that gently float overhead, enhancing the ambiance of the space.

Blue Lounge is a contemporary space that can accommodate guests for any type of gathering, from a business retreat to a private party. This dazzling and unconventional space includes private elevator access, wet bar, galley kitchen and a bird’s-eye view of Sky Church. Blue Lounge can serve as an exclusive club or well-cushioned, colorful hospitality suite.

The elegant JBL Theater is designed for video and film presentations, live performances, lectures and panel discussions. This acoustic gem seats 190.

LEARNING LABS

An ideal space for workshops, demonstrations, meetings or catered receptions, Learning Labs feature a moveable air wall that allows the space to be divided into two distinct rooms. Adjacent to the Harrison Street entrance, the Learning Labs can accommodate up to 60 seated guests or 70 guests reception style. Perfect for a small meetings or receptions, Learning Labs can be used as a single space or divided into two separate rooms.

The Ticketing Lobby provides a welcoming, open expanse for receptions. Skirted by a 40-foot counter perfect for a bar or buffet, this space works beautifully for cocktail parties and receptions.

OUTDOOR PLAZA

The Plaza is ideal for outdoor events and can be covered by a temporary pavilion. This unique space faces west toward Seattle Center and offers a spectacular view of the Space Needle. Combine the Ticketing Lobby and Sky Church with our spacious Outdoor Plaza to give your guests some outside air and unique views. Located in front of the main entrance to EMP|SFM facing Seattle Center, this 3,240 square-foot plaza is ideal for summer and informal events. The Outdoor Plaza even allows audiovisual capability so none of your guests will be excluded. Please note: Tents, heaters, electrical cables, supplementary power and lights are not included in your basic rental use fee.

Planning a really large event? Create an unforgettable experience for up to 3,000 guests by giving them exclusive access to all areas of the EMP Museum. They can enjoy live music in Sky Church, a reception in the Main Lobby, dinner in the Outdoor Plaza, with a VIP area in the Blue Lounge, and access to all galleries and exhibitions. Please note: EMP buyout does not include use of the following spaces: JBL Theater, JBL Green Room, Learning Labs, and the Cafe at the EMP Museum.
