“Kathi and her team at the Sunset Room are fabulous. We weren't sure how things were going to be when we booked the venue, especially since it was being renovated with Wolfgang Puck's ownership. All we can say is that they did everything right. The venue is marvelous. The interior decorations are elegant and modern and can go with any decor. The view is unbelievable as you look out onto the Potomac and see the sunset during your reception. We even used them to work with the Pier company to have our ceremony out on the pier. People were raving about National Harbor that it felt like a destination wedding even though it was right outside of DC. The food was to die for. People ate so many of the appetizers (especially the mini tacos and tuna dishes) that they were just so happy when we walked in. Every single person came up to us and said how amazing the food was. They were so flexible that we went way off the menu and designed our own custom menu and the chef prepared something truly unique and amazing for us. We can't imagine how the food could have been any better. The staff is also really something else. From the wait staff to the bartenders, everyone was so nice and helpful. We snuck away in a coat room before entering, and the staff would keep bringing us appetizers and wine. They were just amazing. Kathi, the catering director, is a true delight to work with and someone who has a high level of professionalism and is truly interested in making your wedding wonderful. They were all amazing and couldn't have asked for nicer people.”
