Whenever Wolfgang thinks of the holiday season, the first memory that comes to mind is the beautiful aromas that filled the family kitchen when his mother started baking. From early December, she was busy making all sorts of treats, including crumbly vanilla crescents, delicate sponge balls, feather-light meringue and, his favorite, the Linzer torte.
