ASIAN BURGERS
Ingredients
- 2 2 2pounds POUNDWeightground beef
- 1 1 1teaspoon TEASPOON_USVolumecurry powder
- 1 1 1teaspoon TEASPOON_USVolumesugar
- 2 1/2 2.5 2.5tablespoons TABLESPOON_USVolumechopped cilantro
- 4 4 4teaspoons TEASPOON_USVolumescallions, cut into 1/8-inch rings
- 1/4 0.25 0.25cup CUP_USVolumefinely chopped garlic
- 2 2 2Thai bird chiles, minced
- 1 1 1teaspoon TEASPOON_USVolumecumin powder
- salt
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 2 2 2bunches scallions, cut into 3-inch long pieces
- 8 8 8shiitake mushroom caps
- 1/4 0.25 0.25cup CUP_USVolumeteriyaki sauce
- 4 4 4sesame hamburger buns
Instructions
- Place the beef in a bowl, add with curry powder, sugar, cilantro, scallions, garlic, chiles, cumin, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Form into 4 (8-ounce) patties
- Place patties on grill and grill to desired doneness. Place scallion pieces and shiitake caps on the grill and brush with the teriyaki sauce and grill until well charred.
Presentation
Serve burgers on sesame buns topped with grilled scallion and shiitakes and more teriyaki sauce, if desired.ABOUT THIS RECIPE
