Chili Oil

Ingredients
Serves:
1 cup
Peanut, light sesame, or olive oil
1/4 cup
dried red chili flakes
  1. In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Stir in the chili pepper flakes and remove from the heat.  
  2. When the oil has cooled to room temperature, transfer it to an airtight glass container. Store at cool room temperature and use as needed.

About this Recipe

Lightly spicy and a pleasing reddish color, this oil makes a great Asian-style condiment to enhance sauces or drizzle over cooked vegetables.
